The first 4 seasons of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime have brought the first 5 parts of the manga to life. Parts 1 & 2 (Phantom Blood & Battle Tendency) of the manga became the 1st season, and Parts 3, 4, and 5 got standalone anime seasons – seasons 2, 3, and 4, respectively.
Out of these 5, the 1st and 2nd seasons had two installments each. After that, seasons 3 and 4 were one-parters with 39 episodes each.
Then came season 5, based on JoJo Part 6 manga. The 1st installment of season 5 came to Netflix on December 1, 2021, and the 2nd installment started streaming on September 1, 2022. This was the longest hiatus the anime ever took. And fans were worried the 3rd installment would take just as long.
But we’re getting an early Christmas present.
JoJo Part 6 Part 3 finally has an official Netflix release date, and here’s everything you need to know about it.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean – The Story So Far!
JoJo Part 6 Part 1 Recap
- Release Date: December 1, 2021
- Total Episodes: 12
The first installment kicks off the story of Jolyne Cujoh, who goes to prison for a murder she didn’t commit.
In prison, she awakens her powers and befriends another inmate, Ermes Costello. As she learns of prison rules from her cellmate, Gwess, Jolyne’s father visits her in prison to warn her about Johngalli A, the man who framed Jolyne and got her a 15-year sentence.
During Jotaro’s visit to the prison, certain events transpire that leave Jotaro in a coma, Johngalli dead, and Jolyne gets 5 more years in the Punishment Ward for an attempted prison break. The main antagonist, who uses the Whitesnake Stand, also appears amid the chaos, in fact, he’s the one who kills Johngalli.
In the meantime, Ermes also gets a Stand from Jolyne’s pendant and extracts Thunder McQueen’s Stand and Memories Discs.
After 2 inmates go missing, prison chief Loccobarocco volunteers 5 inmates for a search party. But, an imposter enters the team. So, Jolyne and Ermes decide to find the odd one out. After some action, Foo Fighter (F.F.) joins Emres and Jolyne to fight Whitesnake. And they also find Jotaro’s Stand disc.
Then there were the bets with Miraschon that had Ermes in problem, but Jolyne saved the day.
After winning the bet, Jolyne successfully calls the Speedwagon Foundation and gives them Jotaro’s Stand disc, but not before a confrontation with Emporio, Weather Report, and Rangler.
And finally, in the last episode, we find out Pucci’s plans to get Jotaro’s Memory Disc and learn how to get into heaven without dying, something Dio had figured out.
And with the introduction of Sports Maxx, the first part of JoJo season 5 ends.
JoJo Part 6 Part 2 Recap
- Release Date: September 1, 2022
- Episodes: 12
Part 2 was a bit more fast-paced with the first episode revealing Ermes purposefully getting into prison to kill Sports Maxx because he killed her sister.
Ermes traps Sports Maxx and drowns her, but he escapes in the form of an invisible zombie. But Ermes and Jolyne succeed in killing Sports Maxx and then retrieve Discs to check out his memories.
After seeing Maxx revive Dio’s bone from his memory Disc, Jolyne is taken to the Disciplinary Wing where she tries to lure in Whitesnake’s user and get her father’s memory Disc back.
F.F. and Narciso Anasui join forces to rescue Jolyne, but Pucci sends Stand Users to kill Jolyne in the Disciplinary Wing. As Jolyne fights Westwood and Kenzou, F.F. and Narciso also show up in the free for all fight- The 3 heroes survive and manage to get their hands on Dio’s bone that’s taken the form of a green baby.
But they are then faced with the Yo-Yo Ma Stand. And as they are running back to the prison, F.F. is left behind fighting D and G. That’s also when F.F. finds out that Pucci is Whitesnake’s user.
F.F. manage to destroy Yo-Yo Ma, but Whitesnake disguised as Weather manages to land a mortal blow. Then, Pucci fuses with the green baby and leaves the prison for good, and begins his hunt for Heaven.
After Jolyne learns of Pucci’s plan from Jotaro’s memory Disc, she decides to escape the prison and stop him. But, Miu Miu, the prison head guard, falters their plans with her Jail House Lock Stand.
But finally, Jolyne, Emporio, and Ermes escape the prison and the hunt for Pucci begins.
JoJo Part 6 Part 3 – The Story Ahead (Spoilers!!!)
Although there’s no end in sight for the Bizarre Adventures of the Joestar Family, the Stone Ocean arc will be the last of the original timeline. In the manga, the story moves on to alternate realities starting from Part 7 (Steel Ball Run), which has a crazy hype of its own.
But for now, let’s focus on Part 6 and what to expect in the Stone Ocean finale. Here’s how JoJo Part 6 Part 3 continues the story.
After the prison escape, Pucci starts experiencing the effects of his fusion with Dio’s bone. He ends up in a hospital with Jolyne, Ermes, and Emporio in pursuit. Pucci also finds Dio’s last son, Donatello.
Anasui and Weather also break out of the prison, and we’ll also learn about Pucci and Weather Reports’ relationship.
Plenty of interesting events transpire as everybody makes their way to Cape Canaveral. At Cape Canaveral, Pucci awakens a new power, Jotaro is back again, and the final showdown begins with Jolyne, Jotaro, Emporio, Ermes, Anasui, and Weather Report facing Pucci in all his might.
Take our word for it, these are tiny, tiny spoilers in comparison to what the manga tells us. And after you enjoy the final installment, you’ll be happy that you didn’t go in completely blank.
